Financial Information
For some parents and students, ambition may take you to universities abroad. An overseas education may be exciting, but at the same time you may not be prepared for it at all. Much planning and preparation are required before pursuing higher education in a foreign country.
A rough gauge of the annual expenditure of overseas students in various universities is provided below.
- George Washington University, USA - S$60,963 (inclusive of tuition fees and miscellaneous charges)
- Franklin College, Switzerland - S$49,918 (US and Canadian citizens)
- Imperial College London, UK - S$41,925 (non-resident)
- University of Melbourne, Australia - S$30,463 (non-resident)
Singapore citizens studying in the three local public universities can look forward to subsidies given by the Government. For these universities, tuition fees (after subsidies) are approximately as follows:
- National University of Singapore - $6,360 to $18,230
- Nanyang Technological University - $6,360
- Singapore Management University - $9,130
